Agreement

kascpas.com is operated by KAS Accounting & Wealth Services, LLC ("KAS", "we"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

No CPA-client relationship until an engagement letter is signed

Using this site, sending a proposal request, chatting, subscribing to the newsletter or booking a consultation does not create a CPA-client relationship. An engagement begins only when we have completed our acceptance procedures, including independence and conflict checks, and both parties have signed an engagement letter. We may decline any engagement.

We serve clients nationwide where CPA practice mobility permits. We are not licensed in Hawaii and do not provide CPA services to Hawaii clients. Attest engagements are accepted only where each state's CPA firm rules allow, as described in our Disclosures.

Information, not advice

Articles, CPA Answers, location guides, calculators, the Quant Lab and the single audit checker are general information. They are not tax, accounting, legal or investment advice for your situation. Examples are hypothetical. Tax law changes often, and figures shown with a checked date were current only on that date. Do not act on website content without advice based on your own facts.

Not an investment adviser

KAS does not provide investment advice. KAS is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. See our Disclosures.

What you send us

Please give accurate information. Do not send Social Security numbers, tax returns or other sensitive documents through website forms, chat or email; once we are engaged, use the client portal. The proposal form accepts one file of up to 8 MB. By sending us information you allow us to use it to respond to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Appointments, fees and payments

Consultation types, prices and requirements are shown on the booking page. Fees for engagements are confirmed in a written engagement letter before work begins, and invoices state the amount due.

Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Cryptocurrency payments cannot be reversed: confirm the wallet address with us before sending. We are not responsible for funds sent to an address we did not confirm.

Other websites and services

The site links to services run by others, including the Drake client portal, Google Calendar booking, Stripe, the beehiiv newsletter, HubSpot chat, social networks and government websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content.

Our content

The text, graphics, logos and the KAS Accounting & Wealth Services, LLC and KAS CPA names on this site belong to KAS or are used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. Any other use needs our written permission.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site unlawfully, interfere with its operation or security, submit spam or malicious files, or access it with automated tools in a way that burdens it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the content accurate but do not guarantee that it is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, KAS is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. This does not limit our obligations under a signed engagement letter or the professional standards that apply to our work.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
